Omar Licandro
I joined the School of Economics, University of Nottingham, as a Professor of Macroeconomics in October 2015. I'm also a Research Professor (on leave) at the Instituto de Análisis Económico (CSIC) and an Associate Professor (on leave) at the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE), which I joined in 2009. Previously, I was an Associate Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (1991-2001), a Senior Researcher at FEDEA (1994-2001), and a Professor at the European University Institute (2001-2009).
I was from 2013 to 2021 the Secretary General of the International Economic Association (IEA) and I am currently its Treasurer. Since 2014, I am the Executive Secretary of the Research Institute for Development, Growth and Economics (RIDGE). I am a Research Network Fellow of CESIfo. I have been Associate Editor of Annales d'Economie et de Statistique, Investigaciones Economicas and the Spanish Economic Review.
